What I appreciate most about massage is the deep relaxation and tension relief it provides. Being able to reduce stress, pain, and discomfort in specific areas of the body can enhance not just sleep but overall well-being.
I find my style to be therapeutic-based. I keep a rhythmic flow throughout the session and try to treat as many problem areas as I can. I never want to rush my work, so communication and having a mind-to-muscle connection are important. I want my clients to leave sessions feeling better than when they first came in.
The level of pressure can vary depending on preference and comfort level. For clients with thick or lean muscle, I suggest medium-deep pressure if the tissue is stiff or tight. I find it's best to start with lighter pressure and gradually increase it based on my client's feedback, while maintaining communication during the massage to ensure they are comfortable with the pressure being applied.
