I am currently being treatede Advance Rehabilitation Services by Maria Duran a professional Certified Lymphedema therapist. I am scheduled for Knee surgery in October and I have a leaky valve in my right leg, which cause swelling. It was recommended that this type of therapy might be beneficial and in anticipation of the surgery and subsequent recovery. I was a little skeptical at first, but with Maria's explanation of the procedure and how the lymphatic system works and it's importance to body function and impact on overall health, I have come to understand and appreciate the therapy, and most importantly its positive impact and reduction of my swollen leg. Maria is personable, compassionate, & caring. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a therapist for lymphatic drainage.

Ms. Duran has been very fortunate to have worked in acute care, inpatient, and outpatient settings, as well as Nursing Home Facilities and private practices.
Her clinical interests are general Occupational Therapy, Pre and Post Surgical Orthopedic diagnosis of the Upper Extremity, Pre and Post Cancer Rehabilitation, Neurological Diagnosis, Lymphedema of various body parts, the use of IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) and Kinesio Taping.
Ms. Duran believes that each client should be looked at and treated with a holistic approach to be able to have a complete understanding of each client’s needs.
