Many people face a myriad of issues surrounding relationships, life stressors, health and wellness imbalances, and overall well-being. As a New York State Licensed Social Worker specializing in Advanced Clinical Social Work and Developmental Psychology, I have devoted my career to helping patients overcome these issues. I provide therapy for individuals of all ages, groups, and families seeking support to cope with trauma, mental health and co-occurring disorders. As a graduate of Columbia University, I studied with experts in the field of trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). This therapy emphasizes treatment for children who experienced trauma, traumatic grief, or sexual abuse. I also specialize in Problem Solving Therapy (PST) to help people struggling with a diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder that can be debilitating or hindering them from achieving their goals.
I utilize evidence based informed modalities in sessions for patients who desire to improve their understanding of self as well as their interpersonal relationships. I find this especially beneficial, as many patients are struggling to balance their life-work imbalances and emotions and seek a non-judgmental listener to be a sounding board and a source of guidance.
My therapeutic approach is diverse and attuned to the needs of my patients, often utilizing: Problem Solving Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness Based Practices. Patient’s under my care can expect to experience a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive environment.
