Dr. Samonte is a NY licensed Physical Therapist with over 13 years of clinical experience in general orthopedics, geriatric rehabilitation, pre/post surgical care, and fall prevention. She earned her Clinical Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Michigan. She is also a licensed Medical Doctor in the Philippines and completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of the East.
Dr. Samonte evaluates and treats with a whole body approach that combines knowledge and understanding of localized anatomy and function within the context of full body structure, function, and movement patterns. She works to restore compromised mobility, strength, stability, and movement patterning through a variety of manual techniques, active modalities, progressive exercise, and education.
Dr. Samonte caters to the communities residing in the Five Towns. She tailors treatment plans with a variety of mobility drills and exercises, helping patients achieve maximum movement as quickly and efficiently as possible. She enjoys solid rapport with her patients and clients, clinical problem-solving, and watching her patients and clients progress to the activities they need to do, want to do, and aspire to do. She practices an evidence-based, patient-centered approach to treatment, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic exercise, postural/core stability, functional manual therapy and movement training, and patient education and empowerment.
