Matthew A. Cifelli is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. After completing his B.S. in Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University, Dr. Cifelli continued on to graduate from the university with his clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
A strong believer in functional movement, Dr. Cifelli brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge area when it comes to patient care by finding the sources of painful dysfunction rather than treating the pain itself. Dr. Cifelli draws upon a combination of therapies known to produce the most desirable outcomes. These therapies may include: ART (Active Release Technique), MAT (Muscle Activation Technique), NKT (Neurokinetic Therapy), PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation), Mulligan MWM (Mobilization with Movement), Cyriax Joint Mobilization, and Graston Technique. Movement correction and conditioning therapy incorporate: Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Self Myofasical Release (SMR), and and isolated abdominal and lumbar stabilization techniques.
As both a rehabilitation and conditioning specialist, Dr. Cifelli has had the opportunity to work with professional, collegiate and high school athletes alike. By identifying and addressing compensatory movement patterns, Dr. Cifelli's formidable Physical Therapy and training techniques work together to help athletes achieve a competitive advantage on the field through speed, agility and quickness.
Dr. Cifelli's broad range of clinical experience provides rehabilitative and sports conditioning therapies, recognizing and renewing the athlete inside in everyone.

Matthew is gifted. He is young but talented and obsessed (in a good way!) with cutting edge physical therapy. He was able to releive pain that 3 years of other treatments couldn't.
