I am a licensed independent clinical social worker practicing in the Washington, DC area. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families in the school, hospital, and shelter setting. I have experience supporting individuals managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, low self-esteem, and difficulties managing anger. I provided therapy throughout the pandemic and supported adolescents and their families as they navigated new and challenging stressors. I have a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland and am currently working as a school-based therapist in the Washington, DC area.
I use a person-centered approach and believe that every person is the expert of their own story and that their voice is crucial in setting and working towards their own goals. I am passionate about leveraging individual’s strengths to support them in managing life’s stressors. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including elements of CBT, DBT, narrative, and solutions-focused therapy. I also have training in TF-CBT to support individuals in navigating life during and after a traumatic experience. I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels safe and authentic for each individual I have the privilege to meet with.
In my free time I love to be outside hiking, running, or walking either in the mountains or in the city! I look forward to connecting with you and truly feel privileged to work with and support each person on their journey towards being the best version of themself.
