My specialization is in the treatment of Anxiety, Depressive disorders, Anorexia, Bulimia, Disordered Eating, and Orthorexia, believing full recovery from an Eating Disorder, or mental health issue is possible. I possess an extensive background providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy to culturally diverse adult and adolescent populations. I have experience working on inpatient psychiatric hospital units, outpatient mental health clinics, and private practice settings. I collaborate with multi-disciplinary treatment teams to develop treatment plans and appropriate referrals for each patient's individualized needs.
I completed a two year post graduate program at the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in Manhattan. My training has allowed me to obtain expertise in using Psychodynamic Psychotherapy skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, specifically with the eating disorder population.

Most relevant
I thought Pamela was a wonderfully sweet woman, however her ability to connect with her patient was poor. I find I did a lot of talking and she didn't offer any insight. If I wanted to just talk, I could do that with a friend or two. When going to a therapist, it is helpful if they try to root out the underlying issue or offer some guidance. She's great if you want to talk, otherwise I'd go with someone else.
