Hello, I'm Patty. First of all, thank you for reaching out and giving yourself a chance to find answers. Life today can be full of challenges and struggles. Meeting those challenges can result in feelings of anger, resentment, depression, anxiety, and feeling just lost with no answers. I understand how it feels when it seems there is no one who understands, or you may not even understand yourself. But guess what? You do have all the answers; they are within you. It just takes someone to help you bring them out, and I can do that, with no judgment. I can not only suggest what to do, but how to do it.
When I was looking for my own answers prior to becoming a counselor, I said to myself, 'If I ever become a counselor, I will not just suggest what to do, but will share how to do it.' I enjoy working with those who are looking for answers and who are looking to change their reality. The only way to change your reality is to change your personality. You cannot take your current self into a new reality; you must change. If you have the capacity to see yourself as greater than what you feel, then you have what it takes to tackle any challenge in your life.
As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Addiction Specialist with an MA, I specialize in a wide range of areas including addiction, anger management, anxiety, autism spectrum support, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, family relationships, grief and bereavement, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, sex and intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer or require remote sessions.
