Dr. Ricker truly cares about his patients. He does not get caught up in theory. Ricker believes in human dignity, personal respect and kindness. He can also be very irreverant and funny.

Dr. Ricker graduated form the University of California at Berkeley, B.A., Tufts Medical School, M.D., completed his internship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and received his residency training in Psychiatry at the University of California at Los Angeles.
His training and experience expand far beyond these all important yet usual steps. He was a researcher at the NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) Study on Drug Addiction for 2 years, was Director of Post-Graduate Education at the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center, attended a 7-year training program in Adult Psychoanalysis at the Los Angeles Psychoanalytic Institute and Society, and was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at University of California at Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute. Further he founded and still directs The Linden Center, a Los Angeles based treatment center for older adolescents. Finally, he writes extensively, often for the Huffington Post.
Patients of Dr. Ricker can expect to receive a wide range of psychiatric services. He provides general psychiatric consultations and psychotherapy. He is an expert in Psycho-tropic medications, both administration and monitoring.
