Getting to know Dr. Luis Vallejo
Attended Vanderbilt University on a full tuition Chancellor's scholarship and completed my M.D. at Baylor in the Houston Medical Center. Beyond Psychiatry board certification, I pursued extensive psychodynamic/analytic training via the Cincinnati Institute, and New Center for Psychoanalysis. In addition to my private practice I'm also a consult-liaison Psychiatrist at Cedars Sinai Beverly Hills Medical Center and Baptist Health Medical Center. What should a new client know about working with you?
I view the comprehensive design with a classic M.D. Psychiatry approach (Biopsychosocial model - also Johns Hopkins "The Perspectives"), Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic attunement (8 years additional training), and Evolutionary Psychiatry lens. With these, the dynamic structure and beauty of the mind becomes more intuitively sensed and systematically engaged.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I offer two tracks, one via out-of-network benefits working solely with myself, and another via in-network benefits with the eventual use of a mid-level provider once you are fully evaluated and your symptoms are improving. You can visit us online at Great Oak Psychiatry to explore more.
