Ruoyang obtained her bachelor’s degree in health studies and her doctorate in physical therapy by attending the accelerated BS/DPT program at Boston University, where she graduated in 2024. Her interest in the field was sparked early in her undergraduate years after shadowing several physical therapy sessions. She was fascinated by how patients could recover without extensive surgeries or medications.
During her time in PT school, Ruoyang gained valuable clinical experience in both outpatient orthopedic and acute care settings, working with a diverse range of patient populations, including those with musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative conditions, chronic pain, and neurological disorders. She also developed a passion for pelvic floor therapy after recognizing its limited accessibility for many patients. In her last year of PT school, she dedicated her practicum to helping fellow PT students enhance their ability to screen for pelvic floor issues. Ruoyang is driven by a passion to improve patients’ daily lives through evidence-based practice, individualized treatment plans, and psychologically informed care.
Having grown up in Sichuan, China before moving to Vermont for high school, Ruoyang deeply values cultural diversity. She enjoys traveling to visit loved ones across Asia and North America. In her free time, she loves exploring various art scenes in the city, experimenting with new recipes, and creating paintings at home.
