More about Sam Morjaria, PT

Sam has been a physical therapist for over 20 years starting out in 1998 at the outpatient center at Beth Israel Hospital. Sam thinks of physical therapy as a combination of art and science. There's of course the medical training, but because every 'body' is different, creativity plays a huge role in how he treats a client, whether the goal is to improve performance and/or stay pain-free. Sam believes treating the whole body (as opposed to just the source of pain) will give the client an improved long term solution to overall wellness. "Our body works as unit and every part is connected so we should treat it as a unit" he says. He believes in using his hands for healing. He has advanced training in Maitland spinal mobilization and Barnes Myofascial Release. Sam is Active Release Technique certified. Sam is also a certified golf fitness instructor by the Titleist Perfomance Institute in Oceanside, CA. Potential client can come straight to physical therapy without a doctor's referral. It's called Direct Access. "Why live with pain if there's a way to get rid of it? Your personal life, work life and overall quality well being improve without pain".

Went through all the trouble of finding an in network provider to then be told… nope he doesn’t take United healthcare. Then they blamed Zoc. Newsflash… they are the people who put in the insurance he takes. Total waste of time
Fantastic!!!

Seems to know exactly what he’s doing
He was professional and knew what he was doing
Verified patient
Sam was very thorough and helpful in explaining what he was doing. He took his time with me and was patient with the amount of pain I was in. Even after one session, I already notice some relief, which is a blessing. I look forward to going back!

Not only was Sam spot on with diagnosing a solution to my ankle problem but he and his whole staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Their instructional manner is clear and easy to follow. They set you up with a program that you can continue on your own and made it clear that I can come back or contact them with questions at any time. I would have continued with more regular appointments but my schedule dictated otherwise but after 5 or 6 weeks I was happy with the results and will likely go back in for a few tune ups. I'd recommend this office for anyone that needs to get PT.

Sam treated me for plantar fasciitis in fall 2012. Thoroughly professional, really great bedside manner, and set me up with a DropBox full of PT videos to continue PT at home.
Very good PT, nice guy.
No other PT is going to care as much about getting you better than Sam. He is very patient and will spend as much time with you as needed. He has given me many exercises that have definitely made me stronger. His office has such a nice community feel, which is also nice, and not typical of other PT offices.
Verified patient
Sam was very thorough with his initial evaluation. But what I liked the most was that he really listens and observes. He also tries to teach me to listen to my body during the exercises. I look forward to my next session with him.
Verified patient
Sam is very knowledgeable and really pushes me to do more. He has shown me a lot of new excercises that will help me get stronger and improve my running. He also has the laser treatment which is definitely more comfortable than the electric shock treatment I have had with other therapists. He has been very easy to work with on scheduling. Overall, I would definitely recommend Sam and say it is worth the trip uptown.
Verified patient
A major part of being an effective physical therapist is being a wonderful human-being and Sam is definitely that. He will push you only so you can be better.

My shoulder is already feeling better!

Very rewarding.
Great, can't be more enthusiastic about him
I thought my experience with Sam was AWESOME. I came in with severe back pain and had gone to many physical therapists in the past. I heard about him through friends, and I was desperate for relief. He took his time, was very thorough in asking the right questions and took me through each exercise diligently and patiently. And he taught me a lot of exercises that have helped me since therapy as well. He pushed me to take better control of my posture and stance. I've gone to physical therapists for years who hadn't helped me as much as Sam had in a matter of a few sessions. He is patient, thorough, very professional and really knowledgeable about the muscle groups and what I needed to do. After years of therapy, I had really given up hope, but I was very impressed and would recommend him to any one seeking a physical therapist. As a bonus, the office is really nice - well lit, clean and very calming as well.
