I believe that most people are seeking quiet minds and peaceful hearts, and I am passionate about helping clients grow in this direction. I will empower you to make positive changes and engage in more fulfilling relationships. I am direct but compassionate in my approach. I will work with you to create a safe, affirming space in which we can journey together toward you living a better everyday life.
I specialize in using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connections between negative self-talk and feeling anxious, depressed, guilty, hopeless or overwhelmed. I also specialize in working with queer, bisexual and lesbian-identified women, as well as genderqueer/GNC and trans folks, in therapy.
I also specialize in treating post-traumatic stress disorder. Adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault and intimate partner violence are my main areas of focus. I have worked with trauma survivors in several different capacities for over 12 years.
