Sergey (Serge) Yarovoy, Lead Physical Therapist/owner. Serge graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy (BPT) from Tel Aviv University, Israel in 1996. While studying for his degree, he was very fortunate to be trained by the leading experts in the field of manual therapy from Australia and New Zealand, which laid a lifelong interest in the field of manual therapy. Following his graduation in 1996 he took a number of advanced orthopedic manual therapy training courses, obtaining a 4-week Certificate in Orthopædic Manual Therapy programme in Perth, Australia, which gave him a unique set of diagnostic and treatment tools, that he has been applying since then to benefit his patients and sharing the body of knowledge with his colleagues. Sergio has a special interest in treating chronic and hard to treat spinal and peripheral conditions, sports injuries. During his free time Sergio enjoys running, training in aikido, judo, karate,travelling, exploring New York City museums and culinary scene with his wonderful wife Julia and son Iven. What makes the Australian school of manual therapy unique and very different from the traditional western diagnostic approach is rather holistic view of the existing problem, taking into consideration and addressing all contributing and predisposing factors possible instead of focusing only on structures-at-fault. Examination and treatment are catered to specific patients' needs and deficits, taking into consideration their body type, fitness level and functional abilities.
