I initially reached out to Shani Watson for family therapy, hoping for guidance and support. During our first meeting, she was flexible with scheduling and rescheduled at my request to ensure we were in a stationary, non-moving vehicle, which I appreciated. However, the following sessions were disappointing.
In most subsequent meetings, Shani was consistently 20 minutes or more late, which disrupted the flow and progress of our sessions. On one occasion, she missed an entire meeting, leaving my daughter waiting for 30 minutes before realizing she wouldn’t join. When I followed up, Shani did not recall failing to cancel or notify us in advance.
To make matters worse, in another instance last week, I waited for 30 minutes in the meeting invite with no response. I texted her for an update, but after a week, I still have not received a reply. This lack of communication has been especially disheartening as my daughter has expressed a strong desire to speak with her during a crisis.
