I was hesitant to start therapy but I knew I needed to address some things I've been through. I met with Sheldon and right away I knew he was the right fit. My work with Sheldon has changed my life and I'm eternally grateful to him for how much he has helped me. He's helped me change the way I look at and feel about myself, and helped get me past some hard stuff from my past. I encourage everyone I know to take the leap and go to therapy.

As someone who has been through multiple therapists over many years, Sheldon is the most positive and effective therapist I've ever had as a client. I felt comfortable as soon as I met him & I feel safe discussing anything with him. Most importantly to me, he doesnt just sit there and nod and listen to me talk. He provides real feedback & ideas that make me leave my sessions feeling empowered. I've been a client for awhile now & I highly recommend him.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker licensed in Ohio, and I see individuals ages 15 - 50. I specialize in helping women overcome the effects of sexual and emotional trauma, as well as helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, unhealthy eating habits, and low self-confidence.
I treat every patient as a unique individual, and take a goal-oriented approach to ensure that our time is spent making meaningful progress towards what you want to achieve in therapy. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and also have extensive training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as Psychodrama. I use these therapy modalities to help my clients reach their goals in therapy.
One of the most important parts of therapy is the fit you have with your therapist. To help with this, I have found it helpful to have a brief phone conversation with clients so they can get a feel for how I work and assess for fit. After booking your appointment, I will contact you to arrange a time to talk briefly prior to your appointment.
