Shelly Quiles is a therapist, grew up on the South Side of Chicago and attended the Lab School, the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign obtaining a degree in business and UChicago-SSA obtaining a master's degree in clinical social work. She's a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and runs a private practice, contracts with multiple agencies to provide treatment to adolescents severely impacted by early childhood trauma and works with seniors who are homebound for medical reasons. She has previously worked as a therapist in the Cook County drug courts, foster care with youth who are DCFS involved and the pediatric unit at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab (formerly RIC). She worked for 10 years in non-profit work focused on using the performing arts to help youth to learn to self regulate and manage their emotions. Working as a psychotherapist to children and adults, she is passionate about improving mental health and collective communal healing.
Shelly has been married for 17 years to her life partner. They have three amazing children who are 15, 13 and 6 years old.
