Dr. Albert has a long history of training in mental health, which initially began with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and minor in Africana Studies from New York University. Driven by the desire to help others gain a greater understanding of self, Dr. Albert continued to earn her Master's degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. She subsequently attended Long Island University, where she completed a second Master's degree in Applied Psychology. Dr. Albert ultimately earned a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Family Violence.
Dr. Albert provides individual, group, family, and couples therapy. She has specialized training in trauma-focused modalities, behavioral interventions for developmentally disabled populations, and supportive case management. In addition, Dr. Albert provides psychological testing, with a background in Autism screening, academic assessments, neuropsychological testing, and forensic evaluations.
Dr. Albert is fluent in English and Haitian Creole, and speaks conversational Spanish. She is available for consultations at her private practice, located in Forrest Hills, Queens.
