Getting to know Vicki Bedford
Hi there, I'm Vicki!
Congratulations on making the decision to improve your mental health! I offer a trauma-focused, client-centered approach to therapy. Our sessions will always be collaborative and you will lead the way.
My focus
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood, and trauma-related symptoms.
My approach
I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness, positive psychology, and other humanistic modalities. Together, we will work on what is challenging or distressing for you and collaboratively find solutions that meet your unique needs.
My communication style
You can expect clear, non-judgmental communication and a welcoming and supportive environment when we work together.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have lived with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and addiction; I bring these experiences into my therapy practice as a way to facilitate understanding and throw out any judgment.
My goals for you
My goals for you include gaining insight, building self-esteem, improving clarity in decision-making, and bringing the “real” you into focus. Your goals will likely grow and change, evolving as we walk this path together.
Our first session
I’ll bring a map, but you will always be driving the bus.
