More about Victoria Anderson, LGSW
Since a young age, I have dreamt of assisting others. I did not go into this career lightly. In fact, I have personally dealt with my own trauma and family mental health and substance use. Being a therapist is my life calling, Which it shows in the work I do. I have a passion for helping others and truly love what I do.
I founded Rooted Counseling with the belief that life’s challenges provide an opportunity for people to know themselves more fully and create positive change. Believing that we are not defined by what has happened to us as we all experience life situations that are out of our control. For the last 10 years, I have been helping individuals through those challenges. Finding that my down to earth approach provides a comfortable atmosphere.
Victoria completed her undergraduate studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead, Masters in Addiction Counseling from Winona State University and Masters in Social Work from Boise State University. Victoria has experience in both mental health and substance use. For the last 10 years, she has working in both government and private practice where has worked with a variety of clients providing mental health counseling, substance use counseling, civil commitment evaluations, coordination of care and crisis services.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, a sunny lake day and decorating.
