Owner & Director of NY Custom PT.
With over ten years experience in outpatient orthopedics, Wendy Winn, PT, OCS has become the go-to therapist for runners and triathletes; and recently opened New York Custom Physical Therapy at 295 Madison Ave. She specializes in running form analysis and video gait analysis. Her hands-on, direct approach provides a “no-nonsense” clarity to physical therapy.
Wendy received her B.S. from Springfield College and M.S. in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She holds board certification in Orthopedics, as well as many other advanced certifications including American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) personal
trainer, USA Track & Field (USATF) coach, and Active Release Techniques (ART) provider. She
has extensive experience working with runners and triathletes from absolute beginner to Ironman level, and believes anyone is capable. She is adamant about manual therapy for effective physical therapy and practices based on the most current medical research. In addition to patient care, Wendy teaches, speaks and consults for companies such as New York Road Runners, Bloomberg, and Equinox. She writes on running injuries and
prevention, and is often featured for her expert opinion in fitness publications, online running resources, and most recently, Sirius XM DoctorRadio. She volunteers with NYRR Youth Programs. For national conferences, she attends “Running Medicine” at University of Virginia annually, and she presents annually at “The Running Summit East,” a two-day course for running professionals.
When not running the clinic, Wendy can be found running races of varying distances.
