I faced my fears and went to the dentist after years of not going. I'm so happy that I chose this location and this dentist. I felt very comfortable and was informed on what would occur during my visit and what kind of work I needed. Afterward, the receptionist took time with me personally to schedule future visits. I didn't feel rushed, in pain, or awkward like I have with past dentists. They let me know the costs of my future visits and work that I need done so that I can work it into my budget. Very client friendly!

Dr. Adam Unterbrunner received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Unterbrunner’s treatment philosophy is to provide the highest standard of care with minimally invasive techniques with a focus on prevention of future dental disease. He feels that each patient should be treated as family—with honesty, respect, compassion and empathy. While striving for clinical excellence Dr. Unterbrunner does everything possible to make sure patients are completely comfortable in the chair. Dr. Unterbrunner is passionate about learning and implementing new technology in the dental office to improve patient experiences. As a lifelong learner he feels it is extremely important to educate patients about the causes of their dental conditions to prevent future dental disease. Most importantly, Dr. Unterbrunner enjoys treating and teaching children the proper way to care for their teeth and gums so they can enjoy a lifetime of perfect smiles. Dr. Unterbrunner is a member in good standing with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. When he’s not creating beautiful smiles you’ll likely find Dr. Unterbrunner spending time with friends, family and his wife Alicia enjoying one of his other passions at one of Chicago’s live music venues. In addition to music, he enjoys cooking, golfing and cheering on his favorite local sports teams.

Visit was great...Dr. Unterbrunner and staff are top notch. Office is clean and modern. The technician that cleaned my (should have gotten her name) was super sweet and cleaned my teeth like they have never been cleaned before. Didn't even want to eat to spoil the clean feeling I had in my mouth. She took her time and cleaned every single crevice in my mouth. Dr. Unterbrunner was patient and took his time explaining the work that needed to be done through their high tech 3-D x-rays of my teeth. After my cleaning and consultation, I was explained in detail of how my insurance would pay for recommendations. The only slight con is that I felt a little pressured to make scheduled appointments for follow up visits for the recommended treatments. I told office staffer twice that I start a new job the following week and that I wasn't sure what my availability would be on the spot, but she was a little persistent in getting an appointment in the books. So I made the appointment not knowing if I can follow through on the day scheduled, but I will definitely be coming back because the technician and Dentist were awesome.

I chose Dr. Unterbrunner because he looked like a really nice person on the website. maybe that's naive, but he actually was! He was very sweet, answered all of my questions, and made me feel at ease.

I've seen Dr. Unterbrunner twice now, once for a consultation and another time for a cavity filling. The consultation was good, about the same I get from more dentists offices I've been to, but the filling was excellent. The fastest and easiest filling I've had, and it was a fairly deep cavity.
Dr. Unterbrunner is a laid back when talking to you, but no nonsense get it done when performing his work.
The office looks to be fairly new, with what looks like relatively new equipment, and the staff is on the ball.

While he was very attentive to me as a customer, I felt like I was being looked at as a piggy bank – i came in for a cosmetic consultation, so yes, I was looking to see what could be done, but he suggested i get my whole mouth of teeth replaced with veneers...i have never had a cavity and you don't even see all my teeth when i smile. I found it weird that when they asked me to smile for the initial pictures, they kept making me smile bigger than natural and saying "smile bigger, like you're happy!!!" so that all of my teeth showed– this allowed him to argue that they should replace all of them because "look, you naturally show all your teeth when you smile" (false). they also suggested whitening my teeth prior to getting veneers – which is just dumb if you're going to file the teeth down to nubs and replace them with veneers. When I asked about this, he said it was necessary in order to get the whitest sheen of veneer...but my teeth are a pretty normal white naturally. He also suggested i get botox to "fix the angle of my smile"...I am 24. I'm actually kinda insulted by that suggestion. I don't know...maybe Dr. Unterbrunner's schtick is doing full, knock-down drag-out demolitions and reconstructions of people's teeth...but I really really was made to feel like he was looking for every single opportunity to make a buck – at the end of the consultation dr. unterbrunner had recommended enough services to put a kid through college for a year.

My visit with Dr. Unterbrunner was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and thoroughly answered all of my questions. I had a crown placed at his office. He did a great job numbing me (I didn't feel a think) and I was pain free from then on.
