Dr.Afroz Burges was born in Bombay, India but has lived in the United States for over 25 years. She graduated from dental school first in India with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and then received a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. She also got a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Texas at San Antonio after which she spent several years in research at the University of Texas Medical school in Houston.
Dr. Burges has been in practice since 1996 and has earned her Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry which very few dentists receive. It is a testament to her commitment to continuing education and keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Dr. Burges lives in Pearland and is married and has two children. She has traveled widely and enjoys learning about different cultures around the world. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, skiing and piano.

The Hygenist was wonderful, thorough, and very professional. Doctor was pleasant but this was the most painful experience (1 cavity) I've ever had in my whole life and I've had broken bone surgery, root canal, crown, and a bridge done in past. I'll never go back here and am traumatized to go back to any dentist now.

The moment we walked in we were greeted with beautiful smiles! All of the staff and Dr. Burges were so frendly and welcoming. I highly recommend going to see her. I feel like they went out of their way to help us get my son on the right track to better dental health.

I love the new tech she has that does cleanings. She is very comprehensive in her treatment. Dr. Burgess is also my children's orthodontist. Her beside manner puts everyone in my family as ease. My kids love the video station in the waiting room. I love the coffee and soda bar! We have never waited more than 10 minutes for a visit.

My first visit went so great. I have never had a good experience at a dentist office. I'm actually excited about getting my dental health in order. Love dr burges already . She was so nice although she got onto me about soda's . Talk about scared straight. I don't even want to look at a soda can lol. The staff is awesome.. Everyone was nice and welcoming. The office is really comfortable.

I called her as I was 5 minutes late due to heavy traffic, when I reach the whole team was waiting for me. The procedure was almost one hour. She explain very well whatever she was doing.

I have been to two other dentists in the Pearland area and as far as I am concerned I was mistreated. Long waits and high prices are unacceptable to me. Dr Burges and her staff were a breath of fresh air. Very nice office, very clean, up to date equipment and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Burges and her office staff are WONDERFUL! She really takes the time to make sure you're comfortable and understand what procedures are going to be done and why. Super friendly and easy to talk to, I really recommend visiting her for the expert care!
My whole family has been seeing Dr. Burges for 5+ years. Easy to book appointments around my kids' schedule and mine — which makes the whole VISITING THE DENTIST much more relaxing, easier and convenient!

The Dentist and her assistant went out of their way to let me know that MUSLIMS are NOT WELCOME at her practice! As soon as I sat in the chair the dentist began a cross examination about my muslim identity and the religion. She said she & her parents were muslims but that she wasn't practicing. She talked about how she disliked many aspects of Islam and enjoys going to church with her Christian husband. She made me want to puke when she began talking about TERRORISM. I'm already so sick of flipping through my tv channels and seeing 4 different news outlets ratcheting up the Islamophobia.
I DIDN'T BLOW UP THE FRIGGIN TWIN TOWERS or KIDNAPP THE CHIBOK GIRLS. So.......I don't know anything about that.
The dentist told me about a "friend" who frustrates her because he keeps talking to her about embracing islam. Her assistant decided it was ok to joke about our marriage customs.
It's totally unfair to put a patient in such an uncomfortable position. I didn't go into her office, preaching with a quran in my hand. I got the work done only because I was in extreme pain. But I'll never go back. If you hate islam you're more than welcome there.
