I think the communication should have been better. I’m currently in orthodontic treatment, so strategic scheduling was required to make this appointment. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to proceed with treatment during my visit, and the entire appointment was spent discussing a future treatment plan. As a result, no cleaning was performed, which was very disappointing since I scheduled the visit specifically for a basic cleaning.
It would be helpful if staff provided clearer time estimates for new patient appointments and clarified in advance whether a cleaning will actually take place. Coordinating my work schedule, the removal and replacement of my ortho power chain, and the dental cleaning required significant planning, so leaving without receiving the cleaning I came for was beyond disappointing. Improved communication upfront would greatly enhance the patient experience. Dr. Frank & the hygienist were thorough in explaining the recommended treatment plan.
