Ali Modiri, DDS, General and Cosmetic Dentistry: Dr. Modiri graduated from New York University, College of Dentistry in 2002 and completed a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Montrose campus of the Veterans Affairs Hospital in 2003. Dr. Modiri has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in Stamford Connecticut and New York since 2003.
Dr. Modiri practices all aspects of general dentistry including smile enhancement utilizing the latest technologies in Clear Aligners "INVISALIGN" ceramic dentistry, and implant restorations. He also practices all aspects of general dentistry including endodontics (root canal therapy) and periodontics (gum treatment). Dr. Modiri's most endearing quality is his personal attention and care for his patients. His calm demeanor puts his patients at ease, making their dental visit more enjoyable and less stressful: "I want my patients to feel like they are one of my family members." His attention to detail and work ethic make him a valuable member of the team at Stamford Dental Arts.
Dr. Modiri regularly attends lectures and seminars in advanced technologies in Clear Aligner therapy and Occlusion to keep abreast of the latest treatment options available in the industry.
When Dr. Modiri is not pursuing his passion for dentistry, he enjoys spending his time with his wife Marjan and daughters Sophie and Madelyn. He enjoys playing tennis, soccer, snowboarding and mountain biking.

I don’t recommend this place at all... beware as they change pricing and send you additional surprise bills months after your treatment.
Went there for a filling back in Nov 2019 and all went smoothly, and I actually really liked the staff. At the time they told me my balance and I paid it in full. Now, 9 months later they began sending me a ton of text messages saying I owed them money! I called the office to try to get to the bottom of it and no one had a clue. Five times that I called they said someone would get back to me but then I’d never get a call back. Finally I called in and insisted someone tell me why they kept texting me and they told me I owed a balance from my filling and that their receptionist had made a mistake. Super unprofessional and needless to say I won’t be going back there. They had no explanation as to why it took them 9 months to figure out they made a billing ‘mistake’. Super disappointed to write this review but there are plenty of dentists in the area who have more respect for their patients.

Love this office. Dr Modiri is excellent, he has completed much dental work for me, and I am very happy with all of it. I do wish that he would take a minute before beginning each procedure to explain using the xray and show me as the patient what he's doing.. I know Dr Modiri is focused on doing a great job, but I can be more calm if I understand the procedure.

Dr. Modiri is an extremely skilled and ethical dentist. He saved my #5 tooth, where another dentist in Manhattan insisted that I needed a root canal. He is willing to take the time to answer patient questions. I would also highlight the staff he has assembled. There is a very capable dental hygienist named Magdalena, who attended the rigorous Fones School of Dental Hygiene, the first of its kind (1913) in the world. I highly recommend Magdalena. He also has a very capable assistant, Angie, who seems to work very much in sync with Dr. Modiri. I was also grateful that the administrative person, Yolanda, arranged an interest-free installment plan for my treatment, after Medicaid denied the claim, which she had twice asserted for me.

He was very nice. The office seemed crowded and very overwhelming for someone afraid of the dentist like myself. I was moved to a different room and felt rushed. Not to mention that I kept having to explain to the new technicians about what the treatment was... I don't know! I'm the patient!

I find Dr. Modiri high integrity. An unscrupulous dentist in NYC insisted I need a root canal surgery immediately, but Dr. Modiri's tests showed that I needed to treat a cavity, but there was no infection of the root canal. I also like that he takes the time to answer questions thoughtfully.

My experience with Dr. Modiri was excellent. He was friendly, professional, and careful to explain not only what he was doing during the procedures but his reasons and rationale for doing so. I was seen quickly and he clearly respected the value of my time. He and his assistants were always considerate of any discomfort I may have felt and did everything they could to make the experience as stress-free as possible. He seemed to be genuinely invested in providing me with the best medical and aesthetic outcome possible. Highly recommended.

I made my app for a Cleaning and I only had a check up (of course x-rays including). And I expect have a cleaning from a Dr. or from a Dental Hygienist instead the Dr. told me "Angy will do it "(Dental Assistant) and that it's not right. Wich I refuse to!!.

I brought my 3 kids to get checked up by on Modiri. First his staff was wonderful and they quickly helped me with their registrations. Each room has a tv and my kids watched their favorite cartoons. Dr Modiri was animated and entertaining, but at the same time very professional and my kids loved him. I can't wait to get back.

I was pleasantly surprised to have fun at stamford dental arts which different from my previous dental experiences. The young and vivacious staff were great. I whitened my teeth with the zoom system and they became as white as pearls. I received so many compliments for my smile

For sometime now I know that I needed a root canal, but I was so fearful that I put it off Dr. Modiri and his wonderful staff immediately calmed my fears. He is very gentle w/ a soft tough. Afterwards I felt great and it really changed my mindset towards future treatment.
