The dentist himself was fine. The assistant was a traumatic experience. I will never recommend them because of how much she hurt me. She told me I offended her by being afraid and in pain when she aggressively put the X-ray objects in my mouth. She actually told me I was being mean because I was shaking and crying. The next day my tongue hurt so much because she punctured my pallet. This is not a good scenario. The dentist himself was fine but not very helpful.

So I went for a annual cleaning (granted it had been two years since I last went to the dentist as I needed to find one in the city and got lazy) and that was an okay experience - it was quick, didn't seem very thorough, the office is a sauna and he numbed my gums without any warning during the cleaning which seemed weird but no big deal. I had to come back for several fillings a few days later and that night when I was flossing one of the fillings fell out. Went back first thing the next morning and he saw me almost immediately but said it was my fault for "flossing too aggressively" which pretty sure if that was my issue I wouldn't need fillings in the first place... The equipment is outdated and overall it just was not a good experience. He's a nice enough guy and if you're just going for a routine cleaning then you should be fine but I would not recommend unfortunately.

Dr. Panev cleaned my teeth. He didn't explain that he was going to numb my mouth before cleaning, which I have never had done in 20+ years of teeth cleanings. He just went ahead without asking.
I'm so glad that I went to a different dentist for a second opinion, because the other guy suggested a much less aggressive course of treatment.

Horrible customer service! Being new to New York it has been very difficult finding GOOD healthcare professionals. The first appointment I made with Dr. Panev, the receptionist asked me for my drivers license (no greeting of course). After handing it to her she asked if I had insurance. I followed up with "yes", she said "well you didn't give me your insurance card, so I guess your paying out of pocket for your visit". I said "no! You didn't ask for my insurance card. I assumed you already had it on file because I sent it via Zocdocs". And she just put her hand out (Strike #1). Went back for my cleaning and the room was NOT clean. Taken aback I asked the assistant if she could clean up a little prior to me sitting on the chair. She obliged politely. After my x-rays I was told I had a small cavity. Made an appointment to have it taken care of. Came back for my 2nd appointment at 9:30am and walked in with another woman at 9:20am. I asked if I needed to reschedule and Dr. Panev told me I could if I wanted too. I then asked was I going to be seen at 9:30am and the receptionist said "more like 9:50am-10am". I then explained that when I received a "Courtsey" call yesterday they confirmed my appointment at 9:30am. If my appointment wasn't going to be for the time I scheduled then that probably should've been mentioned". Dr. Panev said I could reschedule then. It's obvious this place knows nothing about customer service and is only concerned money as I was told multiple times how much my visit would be and if I wanted to pay with cash (not mentioned above but VERY factual). They are unorganized and unprofessional. Please don't waste your time or money!!!

Dr. Patel was nervous and rushed during his exam. He dropped instruments on the flow and fumbled. I had two cavities filled and the filled did not set well, needed to go back for adjustments (more grinding down because bite was off), and fillings were achey. I needed to go to a separate dentist to redo and modify fillings.

Overall this was a good experience. The staff were all very kind, caring, helpful and most importantly, knowledgeable about their jobs. Likewise, Doctor Panev was very professional, good natured and informative. I will be returning again!

I do not recommend this practice. The office and equipment appear to have not been updated since the 1980's. The hygenist was unpleasant. The doctor did not seem to have the slightest care about what he was doing. All of the work that he did, I am having to get redone by a competent professional.

The receptionist was very friendly and attentive. I only waited about 10mins.
I came in because a filling came off and it was my first visit.
Dr. Panel performed cleaning and it was rough, not thorough and messy.
After that he applied numbing cream on my gum. Against I my expectation that he'd give me an explanation of the procedure my gum with what it seemed like an injection, local anesthesia. He shot probably about 4. I was mortified and scared. What does he need this much of anasthesia to fill my tooth??? He went ahead and started drilling. At this point I was mortified. Couldn't even ask what he was doing..
Not sure how much he needed to drill but it felt a lot.
The procedure finished and I was still terrified. After anasthesia went away, I felt pain and discomfort which I still feel when I intake hot, cold food and even wind hurts the problem area. I can say the procedure was absolutely unsuccessful and I felt violated.

I've had to get a lot of work done with Dr. Panev. He's been great at working with me and my schedule to get the root canals, crowns and fillings I've needed. The staff is great and they use a lot of modern tech (specifically digital x-rays) which help to make approvals faster and easier!

I made a 11am appointment and I got there at 10:45am. There was 3 patients waiting and he saw me at 10:55am. Your appointment time is kept. I love that. And he's very humble. It doesn't feel like he's just in his field for the money. I had a lot of work to be done and it only took 2 visits.

I didn't mind so much waiting 40 mins to be treated because it seems like there's always a long wait at the doctor's or dentist...but I did mind that the cleaning and exam together took less than 10 mins. I did like that Dr. Panev did the cleaning himself but I don't think it was a thorough or even proficient cleaning given how quick it was. Dr. Panev was not rude or anything but he did seem tired and tuned out.

I was a bit concerned at first because the office looks a bit older but the staff was very friendly. Dr Panev saw me right away and did a great job minimizing pain. He filled two cavities so quickly I was shocked. I was very happy with my visit and will definitely be back to see him.

Dr Panez was nice, but the office is pretty shabby. I want to support him, because it seems like a little family practice trying to make it, but I have to say, after my cleaning and x-rays, I'm probably going to shop for a different dentist to do the work I need done. The older equipment in their office leaves me a bit uncomfortable.

Both the doctor and the lady working with him were extremely nice. They made me feel comfortable as I was nervous and embarrassed by the state of my teeth. I was seen rather quickly even with other patients there as well. The Dr. offered me options regarding further treatments and he explained everything clearly. He didn't even get mad at me for crying. I have always loved going to the dentist and now I look forward to fixing everything I neglected, to have a healthy grill, set of chompers, teef, chiclets, pearly whites.

He is a awesome docter! Very proffesional, well mannered, very smart with denture skills. I recommend this docter to everyone, he does a perfect job on the teeth. And furthermore he is very attentive and he makes everything more comfortable for the payments in addition to giving the patient more options regards of payments.
