Dr. Anthony Russo grew up in Staten Island, NY, where he earned a coveted position in the Wagner College/New York University College of Dentistry program allowing him to graduate with combined BS/DDS degrees in 7 years. While there he was elected to Tri Beta Biological Honor Society as well as Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. He was also a Peer Leader, aiding in transitioning all incoming freshman to their new environment. During his stay he was a writing intensive and calculus tutor. Dr. Russo graduated cum laude from Wagner College in 2002.
Dr. Russo attended NYU College of Dentistry from 2001 – 2005. At the orientation he met his partner, Dr. Adam Shoukry…..and South Nassau Dental Arts PC had it’s beginnings. The two doctors spent time studying, working out together and socializing. Their similar personalities and ideals have made them lifelong friends and partners.
Upon graduating Dr. Anthony Russo received his NY State Dental Licenses through successful completion of the North East Regional Board.
After graduating NYU, Dr. Russo attended a one year General Practice Residency at one of the country’s most prestigious hospitals, Hackensack University Medical Center. There he became proficient in all aspects of general and hospital based dentistry. In the hospital setting, focus was placed on treating medically compromised patients, dental and medical emergencies, as well as advanced prosthodontic rehabilitation. He uses this knowledge and experience in his daily treatment planning for his patients.

Loved him! Was very thorough & accommodating since was a last minute appointment. Office staff was friendly and informative. Had been going to another dentist in the city but came here because Dr. Russo came highly recommended by a friend. Had 2 crowns fall out under another dentists care and he not only reput them in, he gave me direction & insight that the other dentist didn't. Will definitely be going back even though I live in Queens and he's in Rockville Center.

Professional, current with equipment, friendly and very informative. He was unable to help me right away as I have many problems that require my seeing a periodontist first. That is not what I wanted to hear but I know he is right. I have been putting this off for a long time. I will move forward with Dr. Russo in conjunction with the periodontist and look forward to forming an affordable treatment plan. My appointment with Dr. Russo today went very well. He completed the procedure of providing a permanent crown efficiently and without issues. After the procedure Dr. Russo took his time explaining the x rays taken and answered all my questions regarding options and next steps for other tooth procedures that I may need to have. I appreciated the time he took with me and never felt rushed.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Russo and I'm very pleased with the office visit. I arrived with a bothersome chipped tooth. Dr. Russo explained the options clearly. He was able to give me a temporary crown during the same office visit. He was very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions.
Dr. Russo was very thorough in explaining what was going to happen throughout the procedure. He has a great bedside manner and I'm very comfortable in anticipating my follow up visit in a few weeks.

I had never been to a dentist with a tv right in your face to distract you from what's going on in your mouth, it was great! I was able to watch tv while I got cleaned and review my x-rays with the dentist. He was very informative and helpful, really goes above and beyond with showing you how to clean your teeth properly. The staff is also very friendly, i would highly recommend this office to a friend.

Every time I have a dental appointment the staff is always pleasant. The office itself is immaculate, very well decorated. Dr. Russo is very thorough in all his procedures, explains everything in detail. No surprises here . I for one, am always nervous when I go to the medical doctor or dentist; but Dr. Russo has that magical touch to put me at ease. Even his injections are never felt. He talks you through it, jiggles your lip and voila its over before you know it. Thank you Dr. Russo for such quality care.
