About Dr. Akiva Raskind
After graduating from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Akiva Raskind completed a general practice residency and an additional year of advanced training as chief resident at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Throughout his training Dr. Raskind has gained experience in all aspects of general dentistry, including full mouth rehabilitation, Invisalign, restorative, emergency and cosmetic dentistry, root canal and implant treatment using the latest dental technologies. A unique portion of this training included providing tailored care for patients with cancer at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
By applying a caring and personalized approach to patient care, Dr. Raskind provides high quality dental care in an enjoyable and pain free environment. Beyond caring for his patients, Dr. Raskind enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children, cooking and running.

The office was under construction and there was dust everywhere. It was a different dentist that saw me. He took my xray and said I had 4 cavities but then after he did the exam he didn’t say anything about them, I had to ask him and he said oh they weren’t actually cavities.

Dentist seemed overwhelmed by the dental work I needed done. Now I’m considering finding another provider who will listen to my needs and help me develop a clear dental plan.
