Dr. Arnau Aparicio, a native of Barcelona, Spain, came from a family with many generations of dentists. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Universidad Europea de Madrid in 2009, and his Certificate for Advanced Education in Prosthodontics from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Aparicio practices General Dentistry and is a certified Prosthodontist. He successfully completed the requirements for the Certificate in Dental Laboratory Technology Ceramics from the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology as well as the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the University of Goteborg, Sweden. From 2012 to 2015, he was on the faculty of the LSU School of Dentistry (LSUDS) where he served as the Director of Dental Morphology and Director of Principles of Occlusal Equilibration. During his 3 years as assistant professor at LSUDS, Dr. Aparicio supervised the caring of 24 patients per day who require crown and bridge service and he himself performed numerous placement and restoration of implants. Because of his expertise in the specialized field of prosthodontics, Dr. Aparicio was often consulted by the community in New Orleans, where LSU is located, to resolve some of the most complex prosthodontic cases. He has published numerous articles and book chapters and is a frequently invited lecturer and guest speaker.
Dr. Aparicio has been a member of the American College of Prosthodontics since 2009 and currently serves as the President of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR) New Orleans. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan.
