She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) in 2015, where she was recognized for her excellence in biomaterials research, specifically focused on the surgical application of dental implants. Her research has been published in the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field.
Dr. Patel’s extensive clinical experience includes a one-year general practice residency at BronxCare Health System, where she received the prestigious award for outstanding performance in evidence-based dentistry from BronxCare Health System. Followed by two years of Oral & Maxillofacial surgical training at Jacobi Medical Center and Brooklyn Hospital Center. Her training in these diverse clinical environments gave her comprehensive expertise in managing complex restorative cases and a wide range of dental procedures that enhance oral health, function, and aesthetics.
In 2018, Dr. Patel returned to NYUCD to pursue advanced specialty training in Prosthodontics, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She was honored with an academic excellence award in Prosthodontics and earned her certificate in the specialty in 2021.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Patel is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at NYUCD. She is actively involved in both didactic and clinical education, teaching predoctoral students and postdoctoral residents. Dr. Patel enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for the specialty with the next generation of dental professionals.
