About Dr. Tushin Shah

My mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly by offering the highest quality care in a comfortable and friendly environment while utilizing cutting-edge technology and individualized treatment plans. I aim to contribute to the community by maintaining continuity of care for all patients with easy appointment scheduling and affordable care. I work to ensure patients play an important role in their care, understand their treatment plans, and focus on disease prevention, so we can spread healthy smiles together.

Education
Dr. Shah has practiced dentistry for 10 years. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune, India, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. He completed a 3-year advanced placement program at NYU with Honors in Implant Dentistry and Public Health Policies. Dr. Shah holds a Fellowship from the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics.
Continuing Education and Professional Memberships
Dr. Shah is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics (AAIP), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Valley Dental Society (VDS), and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM).
He has continued training through numerous hands-on programs and exams after graduation, earning his Fellowship from AAIP and “A Qualified Dentist” status by AADSM. He is one of the few dentists in Hartford County qualified to make sleep apnea appliances by AADSM standards.
Life and Hobbies
When not at the practice, Dr. Shah enjoys tennis, skiing, traveling, and trying various cuisines with his wife, Heather Shah. He loves football, basketball, and cricket.

Im very picky with choosing new Doctors, therefore Im very happy I found an excellent Dentist! The staff was very nice and professional. They gave me great advice and taught me different techniques to floss so it’s going to be so much easier and quicker!

I think Dr. Shah is the best dentist I've ever seen.
He took the time to explain what he was doing, what he observed as he examined my teeth, and the reasoning behind relevant dental classification systems as they related to my teeth. I've never experienced this in the same way with any other dentist and really appreciated it.
He clarified things for me that, in hindsight, I could tell weren't as well understood by previous not-as-good dentists that I've seen (including specialists like periodontists). This made me trust him even more as a practitioner and as a person.
He's super nice and also a great listener - we actually had a fun conversation during my cleaning! - and he did the cleaning himself, which I totally wasn't expecting.
I went in just expecting to do a one-off appointment because I was overdue for a cleaning while I've been traveling, but I was so impressed that I'm excited to continue with Dr. Shah as a regular patient.
