Dr. Aurora Fields provides comprehensive, gentle dentistry to patients of all ages. She is skilled in many areas of dentistry, including aesthetic restorations, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, Invisalign, root canals, extractions, and dentures. Her goal is to provide quality dentistry in a relaxing atmosphere.
Dr. Fields is a graduate of the University At Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Smith College in Northampton, MA, and is an alum of Stuyvesant High School in New York City. Her research relating periodontal disease to cardiovascular disease has been published in the journal of Angiology. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association.
"I became a dentist because I wanted to help people, and because I found dentistry super interesting. I wanted to do something in the health care field since I was very young. When my local dentist suggested dentistry it seemed like the perfect fit. The continuously evolving research and treatment to keep it interesting, but it also has an artistic element to satisfy my creative side. Best of all, I get to help people stay healthy and smile. I've never regretted going into this field, and I'm so happy to get to know all of the patients at Pearl Dental.
Outside of the office, I love getting to know Philadelphia. My wife and I moved here with our two cats Zooey and Franny last summer, and it's been a blast getting to explore. I enjoy walking around the city, trying new restaurants, and hiking in the Wissahickon. At home I like to paint, cook, sing along to pretty much anything, watch Netflix, and play video games. I've been focusing on painting birds lately. I'm also always on the lookout for new vegan recipes, as my wife is vegan. And have a pretty nice indie comic book collection."
