Dr. Bill Luu was born and raised in Midland, TX after his parents came to the United States from Vietnam. During high school he attended the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science at the University of North Texas, completing high school while simultaneously earning two years of college credit. After high school, Dr. Luu attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering.
Dr. Luu became interested in dentistry after working in his older sister's pediatric dental office in Houston. There, he learned the nuances of practice management and dentistry while applying for dental schools, and enrolled in the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry the following year.
During dental school, Dr. Luu was an active member of Psi Omega and the Odontological Honor Society. It was also during this time that his passion for orthodontics developed, and he spent an additional three years after dental school in order to receive further education and training in orthodontics at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Luu had the opportunity to treat a wide variety of cases and became familiar with the various techniques of modern orthodontic treatment while earning his certificate in orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry.
A word from Dr Luu: "I believe in providing quality, compassionate, patient-centered care by treating my patients as I would my own family. My philosophy is to provide quality care while building lasting relationships with my patients, by working with them to create beautiful smiles tailored to their individual needs." Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Luu enjoys yoga, meditation, reading and eating at any one of the great restaurants that Dallas has to offer.
