About Dr. Abdul Fatah Hanoun
Dr. Hanoun is excited to care for your orthodontic needs. He has been a dedicated lifetime student of orthodontics, practicing his love of advanced science, technology, and art.
He graduated in 1996 as a General Dentist with a DDS from Universiti Sains Malaysia. After over a decade in General Dentistry, he pursued his dream of becoming an Orthodontist. He is one of the rare orthodontists with extensive experience in both General and Cosmetic Dentistry before specializing.
After specialty training at the State University of New York, Buffalo, he earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Orthodontics and two Master’s degrees—one from Universiti Sains Malaysia and another from SUNY Buffalo. Dr. Hanoun was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthodontics at Buffalo Dental School, NY. In 2015, he left teaching and moved to Texas with his wife and six children.
Since 2007, he has focused exclusively on Orthodontics. Dr. Hanoun is proud to be among the 25% of orthodontists who completed required clinical cases and passed exams to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. His work has been presented internationally and published in peer-reviewed journals, including a chapter in an orthodontic book, with more publications forthcoming.
Today, Dr. Hanoun celebrates over 20 years of creating beautiful smiles for adults and children. He is highly experienced in smile design and orthodontic treatment for all ages. Using various techniques and advanced software and 3D scanning, he strives to offer the best care.
His interests include supporting less fortunate children through education, traveling, swimming, growing flowers, and spending quality time with family.
