Dr. Blake Matthews graduated from Brigham Young University, where he received his B.S. in Microbiology with a Minor in Organizational Behavior. Dr. Matthews received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1994 from Creighton University, known at the time for pioneering the way in the art of dental implant technology. He was recognized at the top of his class and was one of only ten students to receive a scholarship for outstanding grades and excellent performance.
While in dental school Dr. Matthews began research studies for both the Creighton University and the world-renowned non-profit organization Clinical Research Associates’, (C.R.A.) now known as CR. Through constant research Dr. Matthews has been able to stay on the cutting edge of technology and deliver the best possible dentistry.
Dr. Matthews is also a graduate of the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum (P.A.C.-live) in San Francisco, California, a highly prestigious institute for advanced and comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry. Having cosmetic dentistry as a big part of his dental practice focus since 1994, Dr. Matthews is well known for his exceptional ability to create the perfect gorgeous smile. He is also pleased to serve, as a mentor and instructor for the White Cap Institute, where he instructs colleagues from around the country on Aesthetics, Dental Implants, Bone Grafting and Connective tissue grafting.
The Utah Valley Dental Association, in which Dr. Matthews has served as a past President, has enjoyed his service for over 19 years. Other professional organizations include: The American Dental Association, American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Osseo Integration Utah Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Association.
