Dr. Buckingham is a great dentist. He takes the time to explain options and procedures, and he uses high definition of your own teeth/tooth to show exactly what he is considering as treatment. He then asks if you are ok with his options, and he lets you choose the option you are most comfortable with. His office is very clean and modern and outfitted with the latest equipment. Dr. Buckingham is super friendly and makes me feel comfortable and at ease with my treatments, from cleanings, to fillings, to crowns and root canals.

Dr. Buckingham grew up in Sterling, IL, a rural part of the state straight west of Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Springfield before entering the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. During his time in dental school he served as the Student Body president for two years, and he was awarded the ASDA Award for Student Leadership and given the Pierre Frauchard Scholarship for student leadership. Dr. Buckingham spent time in Memphis learning advanced techniques in gum disease at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Memphis VA Hospital before entering general practice.
Dr. Buckingham started his career in Elk Grove Village outside of Chicago where he worked in general practice. After deciding to move toward warmer weather, he practiced in Pflugerville for a year and then took a position treating patients in nursing homes around the Austin area.
Dr. Buckingham is a member of the American Dental Association and an active member of our local Capital Area Dental Society. He has participated in volunteer events such as the Texas Mission of Mercy providing free dental care to the underserved in our area. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his yellow lab, Dex, and cycling all over Austin. We look forward to learning more about you in our practice.

Dr. Buckingham is unprofessional and impolite, and he does not posses the attributes I look for in a doctor.
I was asked to move my appt. time up by 20 minutes. To be flexible, I pushed back a work meeting to make this new time. 45 minutes in I still hadn’t seen the doctor. He finally came over to inform me that they were short staffed and running behind. Understandable, but I kindly asked why I was asked to come early if they were running behind? He would not answer and aggressively asked what time I needed to leave. When I responded “soon” he said “that’s not specific enough. Tell me exactly when you need to leave.” Based on his tone and expression alone, I knew I had no desire to have his hands in my mouth. I said “right now.”
Dr. Buckingham did not value my time or respect me as a patient. I am kind and soft spoken, and his attitude towards me was uncalled for.
Including drive time he wasted an hour and a half of my workday. But who cares, my time isn’t important, right?

I normally do not enjoy going to the dentist, but Dr. Buckingham made the experience quite nice! He was friendly, easy to talk to, and answered all of my (very dumb) questions. We had fun conversations (as much as one can between teeth scrapings) and he never talked down to me about my less than ideal flossing habits. I highly recommend him.

I’ve been going to Dr. Buckingham for almost four years and he’s hands down the best dentist I’ve seen. I moved out of Texas almost two years ago and have continued to see him for checkups a couple of times a year. I booked a dental appointment to do a dental screening. The staff at the reception were friendly, they took down my details as it was the first time I was using my dental insurance.
The day before the appointment, they said that everything looks fine and I can come over for the dental screening. The screening went well and I was waiting for my appointment scheduled the next week.
Apparently the insurance companies cover only half of the teeth if we do a complete dental deep cleaning, so the doctor did only half of the teeth. This was said by the doctor.
Then the HR lady comes back to me via email stating that my insurance company has a waiting period and I'm liable to pay the complete amount. I'm so mad at the HR as she should have informed me in advance that I'm still on my waiting period.
The bill now has sky rocketed since they performed all kinds of scans before doing the deep cleaning.
Definitely wouldn't recommend anyone going there ever again.
PS: Remark to the management at the doctor's office. Kindly consider the patients and give them the right information about how much their insurance covers.
Don't become overly hungry to earn money and kill the meaning of treating patients. Karma will definitely take care of this.

Teeth have been my Achilles heel through life so I've been to a lot of dentists. Dr. Brad is far and away the best. His office is modern and the treatment area doesn't make me nervous. Even his equipment almost looks like art. Heck you can even watch Netflix in the chair! Besides he congenial manner he's top notch and so is his staff. Very happy to have found him.

I'm going to start off by saying I am not the biggest fan of dentist and Dr.Brad and his staff have been nothing but the best for me! From replacing cavities and explaining every step of the process to me I have truly enjoyed my time spent at his dentist office (that's saying a lot).
I highly recommend him and his team and am glad that I've found my permanent dentist in Austin!

Dr. Buckingham does a great job! I went in for a root canal and was seen right away, no wait time. The procedure itself was virtually pain free and quick. During, they even have Netflix set up so you can watch your favorite shows while getting work done. It was a great experience and I would recommend this office to anyone!

No one looks forward to going to the dentist, least of all me, but when I do have to go, Dr. Buckingham's office is the place to go! His whole staff is very friendly and down-to-earth, and I never have to wait longer than 10 minutes to be seen. Dr. Buckingham and his staff are knowledgeable and are able to explain every procedure in detail before moving forward. They work with insurance to try to make it as painless as possible. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Buckingham is super friendly and has a great sense of humor. It's nice that he didn't scold me for my teeth problems like dentists have done in the past. The cleaning took very long, but was thorough. The crown I had done was the best I have had in my life. After years of suffering with a bad crown, he was able to fit me with a very realistic looking one which fit my bite. I am truly grateful for that. My only suggestion is that I would have preferred if he had done the whole procedure of putting in the temporary crown rather than having his dental assistant do it. Otherwise, great experience.

All the good stuff you've been reading about Dr Buckingham is all true. I wish seeing any health care professional was this easy and comfortable. I watched TV while he worked on me. He tested my sensitivity level after he applied the pain killer and when I said I could feel it a little he put more in without me having to ask. That's exactly what you want from a dentist. He made sure I couldn't feel a thing before he proceeded. Afterwards, he went over all the stuff I needed to do for the next couple of days to insure all heals well. The staff were all friendly and the place new and clean. I wish I had another rotten tooth for him to take out.

Really great experience; went to Dr. Buckingham for a second opinion on a questionable treatment plan I got with another dentist.
