About Dr. Pamee Shah
Born and raised in Queens, New York, I am and always will be a city girl. I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2009 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona before moving here to Austin in June of 2010. I practiced as an associate dentist at Plum Creek Dental in Lockhart, Texas, from 2010 to 2015. From there, I was fortunate to bring my dental vision of personalized, friendly oral care to the East Austin neighborhood of Rosewood in March of 2016. Building my own practice with the latest dental technology has been the fulfillment of a long-standing personal dream. It has long been my goal to ensure maximum comfort for my patients while providing the best dental health care available.
I am a proud mother of two daughters and love that I get to raise them in the vibrant city of Austin. Living here, I've found that spending time outdoors in the sunshine, taking walks along hike and bike trails, has made my everyday pretty spectacular. I enjoy yoga classes-from heated vinyasa sculpt to yoga Nidra-and am an active participant in Austin's foodie culture. It's these balances-city-country, work-life, active-indulgent-that make Austin an incredibly endearing place to call home, and I am very pleased to open my dental practice in East Austin. This was the best dentist experience I have ever had!!! I hadn't been to the dentist in 4 years due to a terrible past experience. I even bursted out in tears prior to my cleaning because of this ptsd. However all the staff was so kind and welcoming and truly made me feel at home! Will never go anywhere else!!!!

I dread and get a lot of anxiety when going to the dentist. I booked Dr. Shah's office for a cleaning because I liked that it was a smaller office and staff and I felt I would be offered a more personalized experience. I'm so happy to say that I made the right choice! I went in and was immediately seen by a member of her staff and then by Dr. Shah, who were both incredibly friendly, professional, and understanding of my anxieties. She took extra time to explain what she was doing and what I would be feeling, and let me take breaks as needed. The cleaning went by quickly and they were even able to have me stay a little bit longer to fill a cavity that they had found instead of having me come back for a separate appointment which I really appreciated because I knew I might have put it off if I had to do it later. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Shah and Sunny Days Dental!

The day I booked my appointment the office called and asked if they had any open availability if I would like to come in sooner to get my teeth looked at. It was away that they contacted me and helped me get in sooner than I expected which was great! The staff was incredibly friendly and everyone was super cool about me being trans and respecting my pronouns and preferred name. The visit was short and too the point and it it was just an overall great first experience to a dentist as an adult.

Dr. Shah's staff are amazing and Emily (receptionist) is so easy to work with. Dr. Shah is incredibly kind, compassionate and receptive to concerns. She is also very family friendly (being a mom herself) and my kids love her energy! I'm super grateful her office is in our neighborhood. It's definitely a pleasant visit at this dentist office twice a year! Easy to book/schedule an appointment.
