A Los Angeles native, Dr. Charles Huang, DDS attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Pharmacology. He went on to receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University’s College of Dentistry – the oldest dental school in the United States.
Our patients enjoy his expertise, dedication, gentle demeanor, patience, and ability to make any dental procedure a relaxing, painless experience.
River Dentistry is the only full-service downtown LA dentist office. We provide affordable painless emergency (yes, we are open Saturdays, evenings, and by appointment) and comprehensive dental care in a relaxing, spa-like environment and are able to offer any treatment, including root canals and extractions, all in-office and in one visit. Our goal is not only to improve your smile, but your overall health and quality of life.
Your initial appointment in our downtown LA dentist office will include a thorough exam with digital x-rays and a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Huang, who will explain your diagnosis and treatment options. Most services can be performed in-office and the same day. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require additional evaluations and subsequent appointments to complete your treatment.

I had 3 cavities filled the other day. I was on a chair within 10 mins and Dr. Huang was very sympathetic when administering the novicane. The whole time he checked on my to see if I was in any pain. It's 2 days later now and it feels like nothing happened... well except there's no pain in my mouth. Highly recommended.

I was unhappy with the fit on my filling. The doctor did make an effort to fix it for me, and I'll see if the solution works, but it would have been much more convenient for me if everything had worked out well on the first visit.

Dr. Huang is one of the best dentists I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. I don't necessarily like the dentist, mostly cleanings, and he makes them fast and easy. He uses the newest technology and he's also not going to suggest getting work done unless you absolutely need it. Too many dentists will tell you to get procedures done just to get paid. Dr. Huang is different. He's the newest generation of medical professionals that have a different viewpoint on patient care; he wants to take care of you and make sure you're teeth are in the best health possible.

I love Dr. Huang and everyone at River Dentistry. I've had a very challenging year with several issues in my mouth, and they've all been extremely kind and helpful with financing. After a sinus lift surgery they called me the next day to make sure I was feeling ok. I love this place. Never going anywhere else!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Charles. I was unsure at first because he recommended that I have my left side done first then my right, but most of my friends and family had all four wisdom teeth taken out at one time. But the results speak for themselves. I healed very quickly. There wasn't a day that I was unable to eat solid foods. I was also unsure because I was not put under, but really it wasn't that bad staying awake for the operation. I could feel a little bit of pressure during the operation but for the most part, the numbing took care of the pain. Its been 4 days and I am pretty much all healed up. Thanks Charles, you're the man.
