I was able to get in to see Dr. Hartman immediately. As a new patient the intake was quick & everything was extremely professional Dr. Hartman expertly fixed my crown & it was better than the original placement from my previous dentist.

Dr. Charlie Hartman grew up in Bend, graduated from Willamette University, did research at Harvard for 3 years, and then graduated from O.H.S.U. School of Dentistry. He has continued his dental education by attending extensive continuing education classes. The classes enable Dr. Hartman to stay up to date with current best practices and techniques allowing him to offer his patients the best care possible.
Dr. Hartman volunteers for the Tooth Taxi in the community and has served in Guatemala for several years helping people without access to dental care.
Charlie met his wife, who is also a dentist, while serving in Guatemala. They married in 2013 and live in Portland with their two rescue dogs, Fender and Farley.
He enjoys hiking, golfing, camping, biking and cheering on his favorite sport’s teams. Go Blazers!

Terrible and irresponsible when it comes to medical care. Does not follow protocol, and risks the safety of each patient he sees. For your own sake, please find another dentist if value your safety or the health of your children. I beg you, it’s not worth it for such an irresponsible care giver.

It was great! Noone likes getting a filling, but Charlie did an excellent job and I felt almost no pain and it was all over before I knew it. Thanks for the excellent care!

Very professional, painless and efficient. Everyone was kind and caring in a good way. I experienced no bruising or painful side effects after a very difficult crown procedure. The crown fits perfectly - no high points.

I had been told by a previous dentist that I had a cavity and was very nervous as it was my first ever. I went to see Dr. Hartman and he thoroughly explained the procedure to me. He was so kind and knowlegable and was able to fix it that day. He was also very gentle and did it without getting me numb. I didn't feel a thing! I highly recommend Dr. Hartman to anyone looking for a great dentist!
