Dr. Chung is a general dentist in Fairfax Virginia. Dr. Chung has a degree in DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from NYU School of Dentistry, and he also completed AEGD (Advaced Education in General Denstistry) residency. Dr. Chung is a fluent bilingual in English and Korean, and a little bit of Spanish as well.
Dr Chung attended UVA School of engineering and earned his degree in Electrical Engineering in 2002. He served in US Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner before moving on to pursue his career in dentistry. He graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2008 with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduation, he served in the U. S. Air Force as a military dentist for 6 years. While serving in the Air Force, he finished residency program in advanced education in general dentistry, and had a privilege to provide dental services to military servicemen and their families, and to expand his horizon by traveling around the world.
After separating from the service in 2014, He has been providing dental care at current practice in Fairfax, VA. Dr. Chung’s interest spans all areas of general dentistry including preventive dentistry (regular check up, cleaning, & fluoride), operative dentistry (removal of caries and restoration with composite/amalgam), prosthodontics (dentures, crowns and bridge), endodontics (root canal), and routine periodontics (comprehensive perio evaluation, deep cleaning).

I am so happy I chose this dentist. Very friendly staff and Dr. Chung is so incredible nice and gentle. There are none of the unnecessary frills that you see , end up paying for in other office. I found my dentist!

My husband, two girls and I all go to this dentist, and Dr. Chung is the best we have had. He is very attentive to any of our dental needs without going overboard with recommending procedures.

I came to Dr. Chung about six months ago. It is important to know that I am a person who is terrified by the idea of seeing any dentist. I had not seen one since retiring from the army in 1996. I did not expect to have a good time with Dr. Chung. I did expect that I would lose what teeth I had left. Dr. Chung has performed a miracle in my mouth. He saved many of my teeth, cleaned up twenty years of neglect and did it all without causing any pain or even discomfort. Dr. Chung has excellent people skills. My wife and I are proud to call Dr. Chung our dentist. He probably saved my life considering the condition he found of my mouth. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Chung.

Best dentist ever. Dr. Chung is very friendly and smart. He's doing things right. He is fair and never try to give you unnecessary services like other dentists I have gont to. I used to dread going to a dental appointment but not here.

I recently moved to this area, and I was searching for a new dentist . I was given Dr. Chung and very happy with experiences I have had so far. I had some pain in a tooth that was giving me a hard time and Dr. Chung was able to squeeze me in right away, and was able to fix the problem for me. Dr. Chung and his staff make me feel at ease too.
He is very friendly and sincere. He is the most caring doctor I have ever met. I highly recommend Dr. Chung to anyone seeking dental care.
