About Dr. Juanli Guo
Dr. Juanli Guo is an American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP) certified prosthodontist. Dr. Guo received her prosthodontic specialty training and obtained Certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The specialty training in prosthodontics focuses on comprehensive planning and treatment involving full-mouth rehabilitation, crowns, bridges, veneers, complete dentures, removable partial dentures, and implant therapy.
Dr. Guo is well trained in implant dentistry. In addition to her specialty training in different types of implant restorations (including teeth-in-one-day procedures) during the prosthodontic residency training, Dr. Guo also completed a one-year fellowship program and received the Certificate in Surgical Implant Fellow from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Prior to moving to Northern Virginia, Dr. Guo was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at UNC-Chapel Hill, where she has taught different aspects of prosthodontics, served as an assistant course director for the dental implant course, as well as practiced restorative dentistry in dental faculty practice.
Dr. Guo has full trust and confidence from her patients, and is well respected by colleagues due to her fine skills and her passion in dentistry. Her philosophy in patient care is to care for patients by prescribing treatment planning that suits to each patient’s unique situation and providing quality care. One of Dr. Guo’s full mouth rehabilitation cases has been published in the Journal of Prosthodontics, the official journal of the American College of Prosthodontists.

As always, Dr. Guo had my 5 crowns in my lower front teeth done in a blink, without touching once my gum. She is a real genius with the drill. Her craftmanship is the best, my temporary crowns look like the real deal. She is by all accounts the best dentist on this planet.

I had a wonderful experience! The team is efficient, friendly, and very professional. What struck me about this office compared to other offices (we just changed dentists and gave them a try) is that they did not push for additional work that *needed to be done immediately*, as almost every other dentist has done. They made recommendations and that was that, no drama. I love that and am glad we chose them for our dental care moving forward.

There were charges that were not discussed up front, they conflicted with my policy even though I am In network with AETNA! The Doctor wanted me to pay up front then reimburse me after they get paid by the insurance company.

After seeing many dentists in the area, none come close to Dr. Guo. Her non-aggressive approach is welcoming especially towards those who are dental-phobic. More importantly, she KNOWS what she is doing in her work and she does it well. Dr. Guo is a detailed professional with other dentists complimenting her on her precision to accuracy. Why go to a regular dentist when you can have a great dentist plus someone who is specially trained in crowns, fillings, and implants? She is gentle and kind in her approach to her patients. Her front staff is a delight and her dental assistant is a kind and thoughtful person. What more can you ask for in a good dental experience?

She gave us explicit description of my son's dental condition, and made a reasonable plan of treatment. She also referred some other dentist for particular treatment. The assistant is also responsible and warm-hearted.

I couldn’t believe Dr. Juanli Guo treated her patient so badly - gave her patient an injection to induce anesthesia for nothing. I was in her office for two things, cleaning teeth and getting tooth #25 extracted last Friday, May 12. When I was in her office she asked me for a referral letter from my orthodontics. My orthodontics didn’t tell me I need it, Dr. Guo didn’t tell me either before I came to her office. She talked with my orthodontics over the phone. After that she told me it’s ok for her to proceed. After she cleaned my teeth she gave me an injection to induce anesthesia. About a half hour later when the anesthesia was in effect, out of blue, she told me she wouldn’t perform the extraction on my tooth until she got orthodontics’ authorization which is contradict with what she told me before the injection (she would accept the text message first and get the faxed referral letter late that day). I was so disappointed, and asked what happened and why. She just told me she got to wait until my orthodontics shows up in her office (odd!!!). When the orthodontics arrived her office I heard a different story from him, not related to tooth #25 extraction at all. When I asked to get together all three of us to make sure we will be on the same page, Dr. Guo dodged out of the meeting room. Since then she hid in a room where is not public accessible. It raises my concern about her integrity and ethical practice in her profession.
