I am fearful of going to the dentist, not because of the sounds but because of the shots. The shots are usually very painful and it makes me cringe to think I may have to have one. So when I heard that Dr. Barnett offered conscious sedation I scheduled my appointment. I am pleased to say that after visiting with the staff and Dr. Barnett I felt very comfortable. Dr. Barnett explained to me that by catching cavities when they are small they are able to fill them without giving shots. I was hopeful that if I had any they would be small. After a thorough exam he discovered I only had to have a few small fillings. Because of the size of the fillings I was able to have my fillings done without having a shot at all. I promise I will be back at every 6 month appointment so I can catch my teeth problems early so I won't have to have a shot. Dr. Barnett is awesome!!!

More about Dr. Christopher Lee Barnett, DDS
Dr. Barnett comes to us from a small town in Utah. He graduated High School from Richfield Utah, a town of about 7500 people. He has always loved the feel and romance of rural communities. His wife Carma, is also from Richfield, and they became best friends during track and cross country meets in High School. They have been married for 10 years, have 5 great kids, are so grateful and excited to become involved in what Kingfisher and the surrounding areas have to offer.
Dr. Barnett completed his dental education at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, after which he went on to receive additional education as a resident for 1 year at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he obtained advanced training in crown and bridge restorations, implants, periodontal surgery, oral surgery, endodontic root canal therapy, as well as denture fabrication, and orthodontics. Finally he became the Assistant Director of the Dental Clinic at OU Childrens Physicians Hospital before happily accepting the offer to become a partner at Kingfisher Dentistry & Braces. Dr. Barnett has taken extensive CE courses in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and invisalign, and implants to be able to provide everything he can for his patients. As you can tell from his previous job and big family, he loves kids and is anxious to get to know the many families of the area by treating both the kids and families in the communities.
Dr. Barnett speaks spanish fluently, which he learned while serving a two year mission for his church in Venezuela. While this was one of the most difficult things he has ever done, he attributes the time spent there as the primary factor in shaping him into an effective human being.
Both Dr. Barnett and Carma will tell you that the decision to begin working in Kingfisher was an answer to prayer, and he feels blessed for the opportunity to serve the people of the community. While they miss their families back in Utah, they know that the people of kingfisher county, and Oklahoma, have been and will be a family that’s makes them Oklahoma Strong.
