Dr. Courtney Carr was born and raised near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Mathematics. She then attended dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 2006. Following dental school, Dr. Carr pursued her pediatric specialty training at Baylor College of Dentistry as well, where she completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry. During her post-graduate training, she had the opportunity to spend extensive time working at Children’s Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, gaining invaluable experience treating children with special needs, as well as those requiring sedation and hospital dentistry. Dr. Carr is a board-certified pediatric dentist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Capital Area Dental Society, and the Texas Dental Association. Dr. Carr practiced in the Dallas area for several years before relocating to Austin and joining Austin Kids Teeth. She and her husband, Brett, have always loved the Hill Country and feel fortunate to be raising their three kids in this area. Outside of work, Dr. Carr stays pretty busy with her little ones, but in her spare time she enjoys running, baking, watching movies, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family.
