I was nervous going to a new dentist, as I have used the same one my entire life. Dr. Hyman was so personable and really took time to explain everything to me throughout the appointment. The rest of the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly too! Will definitely be using him from now on

Dr. Hyman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University in 1977. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1981. He has been recognized as a top dentist by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Dr. Hyman is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee of the CSDA, and the Meriden Chamber of Commerce. He is currently vice chairman of Hartford HealthCare Corporation’s Board of Directors.
Dr. Hyman previously served as president of the Meriden-Wallingford-Cheshire Dental Society and the Visiting Nurse Association of Meriden. In addition, Dr. Hyman served as chairman of the Dental Peer Review Committee, as well as chairman, director emeritus and a member of the Board of Directors for MidState Medical Center.

Wow! I can’t think of a better appointment I have had. Dr. Hyman is such a sweet man, he makes eye contact which is critical. He explains everything and takes time to make sure you understand. All of his staff is amazing with great personalities. It felt like I was apart of a family. Also he’s very honest and doesn’t try to push you to do things which I love. He made going to the dentist fun and easy and I thank him for that. He will be my dentist forever!

Extremely satisfied with my appointment with Dr. Hyman. He was thorough and really took the time to explain procedures prior to hands on care. He was educational about his assessments and plan of care. He and his staff (Liz, Jen, Tabitha) were friendly, knowledgable, non-judgmental.

The appointment was more than I could have asked for. Dr Hyman and his staff are very professional and courteous. Even though this was my first visit with them they made sure my insurance would cover as many expenses as possible as well as not doing unnecessary work. I will be going again and they may become my regular dentist.

I've really never like going to the dentist. I'd put off making appointments for years. I started going to Dr. Hyman and I don't avoid making them anymore. He's such a nice guy and his staff is so friendly. Who knew the dentist could be so painless!

Since I have been going to Dr. Hyman, I would never consider going anywhere else! He takes the time to explain everything, and he is a warm and caring person. I never feel like I am "just another patient," and he really has a gentle touch. I highly recommend this office.

I never liked the idea of braces, mostly for cosmetic reasons, but I hated my crooked teeth even more. Dr. Hyman clearly explained Invisalign options, and the entire process - from first consultation to my now straight teeth - was INCREDIBLY smooth and even enjoyable. My new teeth have been smiling non-stop! Big thanks to Dr. Hyman and his great staff.
