Dr. Barbar completed his general practice residency at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Barbar’s areas of dental proficiency include general and restorative dentistry, root canal therapy, extractions, crowns, bridges and dentures. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York Dental Association, the Suffolk County Dental Society and the Connecticut State Dental Association. Dr. Barbar has volunteered his time and skills to several community outreach programs. He provided much need dental care to the underserved with Mission of Mercy. He educated children on proper dental hygiene at the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford. Dr. Barbar coached Special Olympics of West Hartford basketball athletes in best dental practices to ready the team for a state tournament and he performed oral screenings and treatment for residents of the South Park Inn Homeless Shelter. When he is not in the office treating patients, Dr. Barbar enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing golf, softball and basketball and spending time at the beach. When football season rolls around, you can find Dr. Barbar at the New York Jets games; he’s a season ticket holder.
