Dr. David Matney is a highly experienced general dentist who places his patients' health as his first and foremost priority. Having a professional, yet friendly manner, he strives to maintain a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere while providing exceptional dental care for both adults and children.
Dr. Matney graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1994 and completed a residency and fellowship in general dentistry at the University of Connecticut at Farmington in 1995-96. He frequently attends courses on the latest developments and techniques, and has attended hundreds of hours of continuing education courses over the years.
Dr. Matney has been practicing dentistry for over 24 years. He has enjoyed working at several dental practices throughout the Northern Virginia area. Previously, he had been working as a general dentist overseas for Emirates Airline. As one of 10 dentists treating airline staff and their families, he has had the pleasure of treating patients of many nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
Dr. Matney has strong ties to the state of Virginia having grown up in Newport News, VA and attending dental school in Richmond. Born in Durham, North Carolina and graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he is a lifetime fan and supporter of the Tarheels. (Go Heels!)
