Great service and I am always treated well by Dr Tepel and his staff. Couldn't ask for a shorter wait time to be seen. Dr even calls after a procedure that night to make sure everything was going well.

It was just as expected! This is now my second visit, he has great bed side manners, good listener and makes it as painless and comfortable for those who don't always look forward to dental procedures (like myself!). Will continue my care with Dr. Tepel and recommend my loved ones.

Hes really nice! Quick easy, painless apt with a teeth cleaning and cavity filled right on the spot my first apt!
very personable, knowledgeable and fast. Good times, will continue to make appointments with him and his office.
The experience was very nice and low-key. I liked that the Dr. did the cleaning himself, unlike in most offices.

I thought Dr Tepel was very patient, took the time to explain everything and had an upbeat positive personality.

Dr Tepel is my dentist. He is extremely thorough, patient and kind. Sometimes dentists make you feel guilty about not flossing enough (and I swear, I floss!) but Dr Tepel is not like that. He did give me an excellent flossing lesson today, and I will (try) to floss more as a result!

I had a great experience with Dr. Tepel. He is very thorough and explains exactly what is he doing. He was continually making sure that I was comfortable and would take a short break whenever I needed it.
It was excellent. He met with me, did his own cleaning. Where previous dentists have been overly pushy with obviously unnecessary procedures he did not. He was very sincere, and personable. I only hope he gets some posters for his walls.

Had a clean, he did not do a good job
I live in a suburban community north of Manhattan and went to see Dr. Tepel for a second opinion about having my silver fillings replaced. After carefully viewing my x-rays and a thorough oral examination he shared his expertise of how I should proceed. I was impressed with the considerable time he spent with me discussing the pros and cons of the procedure.

Informative, honest and nice
I had a very pleasant first experience with Dr. Tepel! He spent a few minutes getting to know me, was very patient in answering my questions and gave me sound recommendations for how to improve my oral health. Looking forward to my next appointment with Dr. Tepel!

The appointment went very well. He was cool, calm, and professional. I needed to fix a small chip in one of my molars and was very pleased with the results. His theory for the chip in relation to a potential problem surrounding me grinding my teeth was well conveyed. He was able to clearly show me examples of the tells that led to his conclusion. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a new dentist in the NYC area.

Dr. Tepel was very professional, very careful and overall great and I would highly recommend him. I'm actually setting up a follow up meeting with him next week
Dr.Tepel was very professional and also easy to talk with. I came in for a regular cleaning and it was not painful as some of my previous dentists. He offered his advice and made sure all my concerns were addressed. His medical staff were friendly and were prompt when I asked for a return phone call.

My only reservation was the ancient and rather grubby office. He is a good dentist, limited by a lack of facilities. Everyone has to start somewhere: he will probably end up on Park Avenue.
Dr Tepel is excellent. With that said, you must tolerate the first person who greets you. His receptionist/bookeeper is not very nice. She needs to understand that she represents Dr. Tepel. She is the first to greet the patient. She needs to learn proper protocol.
Dr Tepel is great! He is very personable and took the time to explain what was going on with my teeth in laymans terms. I definitely recommend Dr. Tepel to anyone looking for a wonderful dentist.

Doctor Tepel is awesome he made me feel so comfortable during my consultation. I really don't like dental procedures in general but this consultation was great he explained everything he was doing as well as all the other procedures I would have to do. I will definitely come back again !
Verified patient
Dr Tepel was a great dentist. He was very thorough, yet didn't hurt at all, which i think is rare with dentists! He's also really funny, so was able to make me laugh throughout the whole cleaning and check up. I will definitely be back!
Verified patient
Dr. Tepel is a warm and friendly dentist. I went to see him for x-rays, cleaning, bonding on a chipped tooth and also got fitted for a night guard for bruxism. He was thorough and did the cleaning himself and took the time to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend him!
I will recommend. Dr. Tepel to my friends, relatives,&colleagues. He is a very nice dentist& very accomodating& understanding dentist. I will give him 9 because nobody gets a perfect score. His office is so convenient to find

Some Yelp reviews I read while waiting in the lobby made me a bit skittish. My cleaning turned out fine – not overly gentle, but that's probably my fault.
Trust all the reviews--Dr. Tepel is awesome! I was so impressed I made appointments for the rest of my family. He and his staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. He checked my back teeth a couple of times just to make sure he didn't miss anything, then personally found an oral surgeon who takes my insurance and helped me set up an appointment for a cleaning. SO helpful, kind, and personable. Wait time is only 10-15 minutes, staff are great, and the office in general is very clean and offers TV, good magazines, and coffee. Never had a dentist's appointment that went so smoothly! See him!
Dr. Tepel seemed competent. However, he was very abrupt and seemed to be making assumptions without really listening. Also, the worst part of the appointment was the dental assistant who was doing the x-rays. It was completely unsanitary. She touched the thing that went in my mouth for the x-rays right after clicking on the computer mouse to take the x-ray. I thought, maybe they only use the mouse for this purpose and they keep it sterilized. But no, I then saw a completely different person use the mouse without gloves. So the whole office might as well have put their fingers in my mouth. GROSS! Also, the office itself was not clean. There were dust bunnies and spots on the walls. I will never go back there.
Today was my first visit with Dr. Tepel. I was a little apprehensive because of past experiences, but he was very gentle and he explained everything to me before he did it. The office was very relaxing and the staff was friendly.
Dr. Tepel was very attentive and caring and went straight to the source rather than having me running around doing unnecessary tests. The office is very nicely furnished and clean with amazingly current reading material. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Tepel is a young dentist, highly professional and caring. I feel quite comfortable under his care, knowing full well that his skills are 100%.
The worst experience I've ever had.
He explained to me everything he was doing, was considerate every team I winced (as you tend to do at the dentist's office). Overall, I felt it was a great visit.
Dr. Tepel is very professional and knowledgable. He was able to diagnose the problem immediately and come to the proper solution. not only was he able to see immediate areas of need but was also to show me areas where future problems could arise and suggest solutions and was able to explain the procedures in a very understandable manner.
Very satisfied- professional job well done
the staff was very professional and friendly . the office was nicely furnished and clean. Dr.Tepel was very friendly, informative, and very professional.
