Dr. Norena-Otero was incredibly pleasant to work with. She was understanding and gentle in her work. I went in with a deep cavity and she explained every detail about the work she needed to do thoroughly .She didn’t speak to me in any condescending tone. Which has happened to me with other dentists. Her hygienists were very accommodating. One even brought a pillow to help support my neck when I was lying straight back waiting for the Novocain to kick in. Ive always hated dental offices, but this office was very pleasant and inviting.

Dr. Deisy Norena-Otero was born in Cali, Colombia and grew up in Hollywood, Florida. She acquired her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree from Nova Southeastern University with Honors in Periodontics. Previously, she obtained her Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University. She also enjoyed being a dental assistant for 11 years, which lead to her commitment to care for patient’s dental health as a dentist.
Dr. Norena-Otero, as a General Dentist, performs a large variety of procedures such as fillings, crowns and bridges, implant crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, dentures, whitening, and cosmetic procedures amongst others.
She is currently a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Florida Dental Association (FDA), and the South Florida District Dental Association. As a member of The American Academy of Oral Medicine (AAOM), Dr. Norena-Otero was recognized and awarded for her excellent diagnostic skills in Oral Medicine.
She is also a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), where she has been trained by experts to aid in the relief of Orofacial pain. She is one of the very few dentists in Florida who implements Botulinum Toxin A injections (commonly known as Botox and Xeomin among other brands), Trigger Point injections, and other treatments to treat patients suffering from TMD, headaches, muscle pain of the head to neck region, and clenching and/or grinding of the teeth, a condition known as Bruxism. Dr. Norena-Otero also implements Botulinum Toxin A injections for traditional facial esthetic procedures targeting forehead lines, the infamous 11th line, crow’s feet, radial lip lines, and facial slimming.
One of her biggest passions is to bring healthy smiles to people’s lives. She has a very gentle touch and truly cares for every single patient. She spends time with her patients and listens to all their concerns. Dr. Norena-Otero prioritizes patient overall health and explains every need for her patients. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and serving the community.
Note: In order to treat our patient’s with the highest quality, new patients should not expect to have cleaning on the same day of their first appointment.
