After completing dental school in Ukraine in 2011, he practiced dentistry there for two years, then moved to Boston, MA. Before becoming licensed to practice dentistry in Florida, he completed an advanced standing program at the University of Illinois in Chicago, a very demanding general dentistry program, including advanced procedures such as dental implants, pediatric dentistry, surgical procedures and treatment of medically compromised patients. With all his experience and his diligence to further his education by completing 40-60 credit hours each year, Dr. Severchenko is well prepared to provide a full range of preventive and restorative procedures. “As a dentist, it is my pleasure to offer my patients the best level of care. I always strive to keep my patients well-informed and educated on our procedures. I take time with them, consider their personal goals and concerns, and involve them in a discussion about their treatment options. All this, including empathy and respect, helps me earn patients’ trust and respect. Whether you need urgent care, ongoing preventive dentistry, or restorative and cosmetic dentistry, I look forward to meeting you here at NewStar Dental.

Best office I've been to very clean, straightforward and modern.
Top tier service and experience, highly recommend!!
Awesome experience! Very in depth and knowledgeable.
This was my first visit as i recently relocated. It fell far below the standard of care I am used to. The dental assistant taking my X-rays was unsure of how to properly position the film packets, making the process uncomfortable. The dentist saw me for about 2 minutes, said I had calculus buildup and told me I would need more than a standard cleaning. The explanation felt rushed, impersonal and inadequate. The cleaning was performed by an assistant, not the dentist, and felt different from my normal cleanings. The suction device was left hanging from my mouth and repeatedly slipped out without being adjusted, which felt careless and unprofessional. Despite being told I needed more than a routine cleaning, the procedure felt less than that. I declined to schedule a follow-up, yet one was made without my consent. I did not see the dentist again until checkout because payment was due and the front desk was unmanned. This experience left me uneasy and not confident in the care I received.
All was great

I was told I needed a filling on 2 teeth. (It was only my second time ever, so I was a little nervous.) Okay, fine. But the dentist didn’t explain anything he was doing at any point during the procedure - other than when he was giving anesthesia. When the dentist was done, he handed off the work to the dental assistant, who did a terrible job polishing my teeth. 7 days later I still feel the roughness of the filling material to the point it feels like I have food stuck on my teeth all the time. Afterwards, she didn’t floss my teeth or offer any mouthwash. So, if I hadn’t asked for mouthwash after already being dismissed, I would’ve had bacteria from the teeth cleaning and filling work floating in my mouth. Disgusting! The worst part is that I now need to go to another dentist to have my teeth properly polished.
The office is nice, but it smells strongly of something unpleasant. It took me over 40 minutes to be seen the first time. The dental hygienist has no bedside manner- is so socially awkward to say the least, the dentist was screaming her name for a few minutes and she was nowhere to be found. They also marked the wrong teeth for me to get root canals on in my treatment plan. When I went back for a cleaning I saw a different dentist, he was nice enough but was so hard on my gums that I started crying. The dental hygienist- the same from the day before- had her hair hanging almost in my mouth. At that point I was fed up and just left. Don’t go to this dentist, it’s not worth your time.
