More about Dr. Douglas Vierra, DDS
Dr. Vierra was born in San Francisco and raised in Palo Alto, California. Following graduation from high school he attended the University of California at Santa Barbara. In 1979 he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in pharmacology with honors. He entered the University of California at Los Angeles School of Dentistry in 1980 and graduated in 1984.
In 1984 Dr. Vierra volunteered with the Vesper Society to serve the dental needs of underprivileged children and adults in Trinidad and Tobago. He returned to California in 1986 and began work with Plaza Dental Group.
Dr. Vierra is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Santa Clara Dental Society. He has been active in the community as a member of the San Jose East Valley Lions club since 1992. He is a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi church.
Dr. Vierra is married to his wife Nancy and has four daughters. He enjoys a busy active life of travel, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. He maintains a membership at the Silver Creek Valley Country Club and participates in numerous sports such as cycling, skiing, tennis, and golf.
